Face up Service

 

Are you looking for a face up for your dolls? If you like my style, I would be delighted to paint one of your dolls ^__^

Important: For a face up, your doll's head must be sent to me (the customer bears the shipping costs to me).

If you are unsure whether I can do a particular face up, you can always ask me BEFORE placing your order. Please note that I have a particular style and will always incorporate this into my work. You can find further important information further down this page under ‘Important information’.

Prices for face ups:

Basic face up: 120 €
Optional extras:
+ Freckles: 10 €
+ Glitter particles: 5 €
+ Tattoos: 5-40 € depending on complexity and size 
+ Pullip eyelids: single colour = free, tattoo painting from 5 € depending on complexity
+ Artificial eyelashes + application: 3 € for Pullips and 5 € for BJDs/DDs (I will apply your own eyelashes free of charge)

Moddings/carvings for Pullips: 35 €
(includes carving of nostrils and mouth)
Please note that I have a certain style when it comes to carving Pullips. I would be happy to send you examples by email.

Removing old face-up: 10 €
When ordering a face-up without any additional options, I assume that the head will be sent to me clean and bare. If this is not the case, I charge an additional 10 € for removing the Face up.

Shipping costs back to you: Depends on your location but probably around 16 € with insurance.

All prices include 19% VAT.
 

The Face Up Process - How does it work?

You can find out when my Face Up slots are available on my Instagram account: Mikiyochii or at the top of this subpage. My bio will tell you if I'm currently taking commissions. It's helpful if you follow me there, as I post on Instagram Stories when I have new slots available. Usually, there are only a few slots available, so it's worth being quick.
If face up slots are available, please email me at info@mikiyochii.de with the following information:

- How many face ups would you like to book? (maximum 2 per person)
- Which doll heads should be painted?
- What face up wishes do you have for your dolls? Please include sample pictures, references, or descriptions.

Please note that contact is exclusively via email!

Here is a short list that you can fill out and send to me:
- Doll type: BJD, DD, or Pullip?
- Face up requests: description, drawings, or references
- Freckles: yes/no
- Glitter particles: yes/no
- Tattoos: (please describe what you would like, pictures are welcome)
- Do you need false eyelashes? If so, what color?
- Remove old face up? yes/no
For Pullips:
- Modding/carving? yes/no
- Eyelid painting? Plain or with tattoos?

It is possible that other people may also submit requests in the meantime. Since I can only do a certain number of face ups, I select the projects that appeal to me the most. Please understand.
In any case, you will receive an email from me, whether your request is accepted or rejected, so don't worry.

As soon as I have successfully confirmed your face up slot, you will receive a cost breakdown for your face up with your specified requests. If, during the face-up process, you realize that you would like to add another option, that is of course no problem. After your confirmation, I will give you my address for sending the doll head and any other important information. Please do not send the head until I expressly ask you to!
Please note that the face up can take approx. 4-8 weeks, depending on the amount of work involved and any special requests. It also depends on how quickly I hear from you and what the weather is like. If the humidity is very high, I have to take longer breaks. Please just be a little more patient. The end result should be a beautiful, long-lasting face up, and that takes time.

During this time, I will send you regular updates on the progress of the face-up via email. I will only continue once I have received your approval. I am happy to make changes at any time, but I will not remove any paintwork that has already been fixed once I have received your approval. Therefore, please provide as much detail as possible about your ideas and wishes, including example images if possible.

You only have to pay for the face up once it is finished. You can pay either by PayPal or bank transfer.
For payment, I will need your billing and/or delivery address.

Important information

I have my own style, so please bear this in mind before placing your order. I will not adapt this style for you — if you want me to, then I am not the right artist for you and you should hire someone else.

By successfully placing a face up order, you agree to my terms and conditions, privacy policy, and the following information:
 

• I only paint the following types of dolls: BJD, Dollfie Dreams, and Pullips.
• All my face ups are unique and hand-painted, so they are not perfect.
• My tools are: watercolor pencils, pastel chalk, gouache paints—each face up is sealed several times with MSC UV Cut.
• I apply shimmer powder to all my face ups.
• I do not paint recast dolls!
• I do not copy other artists' face ups.
• No modifications to BJDs/DDs.
• No body blushing or skin tone adjustments.
• I do not paint male characters—simply because I'm not very good at it :)
• I do not paint dark skin tones, such as black or very dark tan. Since I mainly work with pastel chalk, most colors do not show up very well on these skin tones and would not achieve a beautiful result.
• I do not do gore face ups or other very dark face ups
• I do not repair damaged face ups by other artists
• I do not paint damaged or very yellowed/discolored dolls
• Please send your doll head to me as well packaged as possible. A face mask for BJDs is desirable but not necessary.
• Once you have the face up slot, the head must be with me within 2 weeks. Otherwise, the slot will expire.
• No layaway possible; payment for the face up must be received by me within one week. The finished painted doll head will only be returned after full payment for the face up has been received.

Damage to the face up during shipping
Please check immediately when the courier hands you the package to see if it is damaged and have the courier document it accordingly. Open the package and check if the head is damaged. If so, please send me a message with photos by email (info@mikiyochii.de) immediately.
